You have To plug the mic in the right Jack on the back of the computer, try one by one, until you find the right one.. when you open up sound recorder, and test it, and play it... and see which jack it works on! on mine, its on the pink jack port.. and make sure your microphone is not damaged. if it came with a driver cd, then make sure you install it.
