Dear Sitepoint members, Recently I changed internet service provider from ADSL to cable and ever since I am unable to visit some websites (such as forums.digitalpoints.com, msn.com), the use of MSN messenger also appeared to be blocked. I checked the HOSTS file, it's normal. When I go online (with the same notebook) at other places, I can visit those websites as usual. Can you please advice me ...

Sounds like your new ISP has those sites (or at least IP's used there) blacklisted for some reason or those site have your IP blacklisted. Talk to you ISP. First though, try to reboot the modem to see if if renewing your IP changes anything.

Right, happens to both IE and Firefox. I like to add that the ISP is actually the same company. Just that I'm switching to its cable service... I will try the reboot method suggested above.

How long ago did you switch services? Sometimes an ISP can take a while to get all sites when starting a new service... I started a new service with an ISP lately and it took 3 days to finally get all sites working.

It's been about 2 weeks. I'm located in Japan. Using service called Bflets. For some sites it loads the title, and then stucks there.
