Sharp Aquos LC46D82U at 2500$ good deal? | Thread profile

Hello, I thought I would let you know that I just purchased today a 46 inch Sharp Aquos LC46D82U for 2500$. However, I was "forced" to take an extended warranty (4 years in home service) for 299$. So the question I am asking is this: 1-Is the 2799$ price for this TV a good price with the 4 yrs warranty? 2-Can I (should I) return the extended warranty and just take the 2 years covered ...

where did you buy it from? and $2500 is a very good deal for this tv, and even that warranty you got was a good deal. Isn't 4 year warranty at FS like $500? anyways for the $300 for 4 year warranty you paid i would just keep it.

I've been looking at this tv as well. I have not seen a lower price than your 2799, so keep it. Please provide details of purchase, thanks

Here is how I got this deal: I went to Centre Hi-Fi in montreal. The TV was initially on sale at 2999$. But then I told the seller that I had seen it other places lower than the price that was displayed at the moment and I asked him if he would match their offer. I told him I saw it at 2600$ at some other store (bit of a lie but we are haggling here....). He told me that he could match it ...
