Hi I purchased an Emu Proteus 2000 module 6yrs ago. It dosnt get used much now and I am deciding what to do. Should I sell it and buy something more versatile like a software module for my pc.?? Sadly if I sell my sound module I wont get much for it. I,ll probably sell it at a loss of £400 but atleast I,ll get something back. Are software modules just as good as hardware? ...

There is a Proteus software module out there. I've read that the filters don't sound quite the same as on the hardware version, though (because they used a dedicated DSP chip for them).
