Since no one else has posted a thread about this, I thought I'll start. For TWOP members in Asia and currently watching this show, maybe you can leave your comments here. The Teams: Mardy & Marsio (Indonesia, brothers) Francesca & Sandy (Hong Kong, model/personal trainer) Aubrey & Jacq (Philippines, actress/model) Andrew & Syeon (Malaysia, boyfriend/girlfriend) Prashant & Sahil (India, male ...

It was ridiculous that this wasn't an elimination leg! Because that HK couple completely deserved to go for being so stupid at the painting challenge. And how did they get so far back anyway? The guy is all brawn, no brains at all. Sahran from SL is going to get reeeeeeeally annoying, very soon. Actually, I hope he does get annoying, because you've gotta have SOMEBODY to shout at - most of ...

Thanks for starting this, by the way, Popcorn ! It's great to be able to post about a show I've just watched, for once! We need to come up with some shortened team names. M&M is obvious. Laura & And could be "Landy" any other suggestions?

Hah. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with the show. I thought the rappeling of the Times Square shopping centre was rather stupid. But yeah, it did catch some teams off guard. I know I shouldn't be expecting too much from it, but yeah. I'm disappointed! Hopefully the subsequent episodes will be better!!! Oh, and the non-elimination leg was dumb. Do you think they'll travel out of Asia? Oh,...

So far, the tasks have been a bit boring, but based on the first episode, it looks promising. The show had some funny moments.. My favorite - Aubrey: Is this the handbrake? (and then the car's front opens) Hilarious!

I had no idea that this was going on. Are they only in Asia or will they go around the world? What language are they speaking in?

Apparently, they'll also be stops outside Asia, but the first leg was only in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Language is English.

I just watched the first episode online and really enjoyed it. Here in South Africa, they just finished broadcasting TAR: FE a couple of weeks ago so this is muuuch more entertaining compared to that. A lot of the teams seem to be Asian versions of the usual US TAR archetypes so I got the hang of them pretty easily. M&M reminded me a bit of Ken and Gerard with the brotherly chubbiness. Glad ...

Just found out about this. Clearly I need to find some online source to watch it. I like the idea of starting with a non-elimination because I always feel bad for the first team that gets cut. I feel like we barely get to know them and then they are cut.

Oh, I know they didn't all suck. My favourite team in all three seasons -- Sharon/Melody from TARA1 -- happens to have a celebrity in it. But there are people who are clearly cast BECAUSE they are famous (Natalie), and then there are celebrities who are cast because they love the show and want to do it (Melody, Ida). I think that's a very important distinction to make.

Oh well, at least the girls had fun, and that's what really counts right? Right? Right, sort of, and to an extent. They had a great can-do attitude, and I think, were just generally delightful to watch. They made the season fun, they made it to the finale, and at least they didn't lose the top spot to a horrendous team - all those things don't make up for the fact that they lost, but they make the loss a bit more bearable, I...

That's incredibly impressive that she did all that and didn't lose the baby! That's gonna be one tough kid! :D Anybody know where I might find TARA2 online?

I say the Sony Ad featuring eventual winners Sam and Vince that the network released halfway into the season was the biggest proof of them all. Bad, bad idea! In retrospect. Also really disliked the Caltex commercials where race losers say who they think the winner's going to be. I say they shouldn't give us anything we may derive clues from outside of the actual show.

But didn't Allan say that the tattoo FF taken by Vince and Sam was the only FF on the entire race this season? If that's the case, then there's no second FF available, MFE team or no MFE team. This post has been edited by legaleagle44 : Oct 28, 2008 @ 11:18 am.

The last two episodes were a complete letdown. Ugh. The final 4 episode was badly planned, and had 2 teams quitting. AD and Fuzzie completely disappointed me, they were given a free pass to the top 3 and QUIT. Jeez. Then I was hoping for a good final episode to wash off the sour impression that the previous one left me, and it was the same letdown. It started out promising in Oman, but once Ida and Tania missed their flight and the teams hit...

Total letdown. I like V&S but really didn't like the quitting last ep. Partially agree with mintyflake on how Vince treats Sam, altho I can't really blame him. Sam is a nice guy, but can be such a whiner. I was not surprised by the outcome at all. I felt in my gut that the Sony commercial was the BIG SPOILER again ... and was proven right. Am not even sure if I will even bother to watch next season -- this season was...

I must say, I'm half-surprised that the entire F5 consists of same-sex teams. Half-not, because it was obvious the last co-ed team was totally the weakest team of the F6 and long overdue for an elimination.

This thread needs some more action; to get that by having it bumped up in the thread order is a desirable goal. I don't have a lot to say because speculation on the ARA3 route is far advanced, but there is conflicting information which prevents it from being a lock. The most appropriate comment I can make is the the route is approximately the shape of the number 5 with the top sheared off and added onto the left side of the bottom. The...
