+1 When you have one car and a family it must be able to haul everyone plus their stuff. SUV's serve a purpose in this world.

I don't have a problem with 1 person commuting in a SUV. I just don't want to hear those people complaining about the cost of gas. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT THEN!!! I started riding my bicycle at $3/gallon and my car gets 29/35. If the minivan is for a family then it is good because more people in 1 vehicle is good.

Back in the day alot folks had station wagons. Today, it's either minivans or SUVs for alot of folks if they want to be able to cart eveyone around. But you have to wonder about young, single people (seems to be mostly women) that are driving Ford Expeditions or Lincoln Navigators.
