i wanted to know some stuff about parakeets.i might get one for my b-day,but i need some info on them.i live a very busy life and i got a flyer from petsmart to learn a little about them.it sounds like that they need alot of attention.i want to know if i have to empty their food bowl every day,give them 30 minutes of attention every day,clean their bowls every day,and remove the fresh food every...

They are very susceptable to anything that is not really clean. You should give thw bird as much attention as you think is suitable. they are like children and need a lot of love and affection. The bird will love to fly free in the house and should be encouraged as much as possible.
