What creeps me out most is that these collectors oppose the restoration ofold comics. I used to think their obsession with "condition" came from adesire to own nice things, like you'd want your carpet to be unstained, oryour dishes unchipped. But I've since learned that what they really want isfor comics to remain totally unchanged, even if that means leaving theprinting/binding flaws untouched. ...

*LOL*I did mean Norman Bates, thanks.But now I see that an elliptical reference to "Norman Perkins and histaxidermy" is even creepier, so I'm sticking with that version.
