Why, and HOW is he taking credit for like every comic??? Why is his name always put there... I mean, I don't ...

"Trick Question" What time period are said comics from? Well, mostly a bit older.... Maybe later 80's - late 90's.... Even when he didn't write, he was always up there. Why do you ask?

A lot of it has to do with the figurehead thing. Stan made himself the most identifiable part of Marvel for years because he was so charismatic. There were quite a few creators who had that kind of forsight but Stan is the one who was the most successful at it. Putting his name on a book probably does change the sales figures towards the...

Not that Stan Lee isn't over-rated and so forth but.... being the one to "present" something is not terribly uncommon.

The reason Stan Lee's name is on everything Marvel is because he was the most recognized President and Chairman of Marvel. He also created - along with Jack Kirby - a majority of the characters for Marvel. Given the fact that a good deal of the more modern characters are spin-offs or throwbacks, his name on the product doesn't really ...

If he wrote the issue/story then he has the right to have his name on it. If he has created (or Co-Created) it, then he also has the right to place his name on the issue(s).

They mainly did it as sort of a tribute. To acknowledge that they wouldn't have a lot of their most popular characters without Stan. However they moved away from this trend whenever Stan Lee started doing work for DC (The Stan Lee presents comics mentioned earlier) and Joe Q got his panties in a bunch about it. I think the time when you ...
