This is a fairly consistent opinion I have about this forum, and rather than going through various threads and complaining, I thought it might be more productive to create a separate thread to discuss it. I...

I completely agree. I'm tired of stories featuring Sakura Hitsusukinaimewasakawaiidesu!!!!!!! I mean, some stories set in Japan are good dramas, but usually they come a dime a dozen with the new Wapanese fad. I personally love using French, Italian, and German names in my comics, though I do my best to have the characters have a past ...

Japanese names do annoy me (especially when used in a rather unreasonable way when they use it on non-Japanese people or use nonsensical meanings or are otherwise vastly unresearched. I know there are non-Japanese with Japanese names, but the likelihood of twenty like that is a bit slim...). Though at times, I feel a bit hypocritical for ...

"Kaxen" Like my current story, it doesn't really take place on Earth, but it has a really obvious Crusader vs. Saracen thing going and I've used Arabic names I looked up in a baby name book. Is that really that much different that looking up random Japanese names? The only difference is that Arabic seems to be vastly less popular and ...

"Prusten" This is a fairly consistent opinion I have about this forum, and rather than going through various threads and complaining, I thought it might be more productive to create a separate thread to discuss it. I do not think that American writers should create characters with Japanese names in their comics, nor should they use ...

"Bakutenryu" Well, I use Japanese names anyway due to the fact that manga(Japanese-style comics)originate from Japan and I am Japanese. Plus, IMO using Japanese names are fun if you actually know how to use them, write them, know what they mean, and pronounce them. Also, I reccomend if your going to use Japanese names, DO NOT try to ...
