VS CHELSEA Vs LIVERPOOL (1-1) The game was Liverpool Vs Chelsea in the Champions League and the game served up its usual collection of controversy, lack of goals and a shock ending. After Liverpool had managed to battle and gain a 1 goal lead, Chelsea equalized in the final minutes of the game by way of a bizarre John Arne Riise own goal.Anfield was ...

The Chelsea View If any game summed up our season it was this one, looking limp and lifeless on the whole with the odd moments of good understanding and passing but somehow we came away with a good result in the end. Far too many players underperforming and as a result the team as a whole looked clueless. Liverpool looked content with the 1-0 lead to be honest and played on the counter ...

Having snatched a crucial away goal at Anfield last week, Chelsea are hot favourites to go through to the final in Moscou, but in football anything can happen. The pressure is on Liverpool to score at the bridge and break the curse of not scoring a single goal at the Bridge for ages. Chelsea can approach theis match with full confidence, having beaten Man Utd 2-1 at the Bridge itself in...

Such a huge game. Cant wait for it. Chelsea have the league which they can win, so even if they lose this game they have something left to play for. On the other hand, this is the only chance remaining for us. We just have to make sure that we win in this game. Winning at Stamford Bridge is never easy and expect a easy game there. Its going to be super tough. Everyone knows that. Going to ...

QUOTE(HitmanKuyt @ Apr 28 2008, 06:49 AM) Torres did not have a poor match last week, Petr Cech was fantastic in goal. Probably saying he had a poor game is wrong but he didnt do that well. He had three great chances. In the firts half he was 1 on 1 vs Cech and he hit straight at him. In the second half, he had a oppurtunity, when the Chelsea line played for an offside but he ...

Great intro, Brian. Coming into this tie I felt great. Our CL record against Chelsea. The great form we've found post-Barnsley. The determination of our players. Our tendency to shine in Europe. As Chelsea drew with Wigan and scraped by Everton, I really thought this leg would be ours and we'd make our mark at Anfield. Then one little, 94th minute own-goal and now I'm a nervous wreck. It ...

As a neutral, I'm primarily concerned with Chelsea's lineup and formation. In Pool's case, the only real question is who will feature as fullbacks. I for one think that a gamble on Riise is justified to keep the central pair of Carra and Skrtel intact. They did wonderfully in the first leg, I think they'll do the job tomorrow if given the chance. Hoping that Chelsea progresses, I'd like to...

As far as I can remember we will have to do two things we haven't done under Rafa if we are to win this cup. 1 is to score at the Bridge. I am confident enough to say that we can do this. Maybe Torres will get it, I don't know but I do feel he needs a lot of help from the wingers and Gerrard in particular. That's why I would go with a 4-4-2. It will be a distraction for Terry and Carvalho...
