I currntly have a 350D with EF-S 18-55mm USM kit lens and a Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 APO DG lens but I am looking for a budget replacement for the kit lens before I go on holiday in a couple of months. I'm still getting all my spending money together so my budget is a max of 100. I know I could wait and save a bit longer but I want to take the lens with me. The holiday is to Florida taking in the ...

That being said, there's alot of great "kit lens replacements" out there, the Sigma 18-50 EX 2.8, Tamron 28-75 Di 2.8, Canon 17-85 IS, ...

Thanks for the replies. Just to answer Dormans points Shooting Style: I don't have any preference. If I'm out and about and see a particularly impressive building or view then I'll take a picture. Guess I'll photograph anything that takes my fancy. The holiday to Florida is the one holiday we thought would never happen but 18 months ago we had a turn of luck that allowed us the opportunity to ...
