I've been flying a Zero Gravity Pitts Python, Hacker A30-10XL, Thunderbird 54 & 3S3800 lipo's . The plane was OK but needed a bit more poop. So today I hooked up 2 - 2S2100 in series just to try it. WOW !! Before I was pulling 35 amps & 350 watts on a freshly charged battery now I have 50 watts & 650 watts. Lots more power but will the motor last ? I also went to an E-Flite 60 amp. ESC...

As long as it doesn't overheat and cook the insulation or magnets it will be fine. Just because you're pulling 50amps on the ground doesn't mean you're getting near that in the air. (in reply to Don M. )

I'm hopefully going to fly it today, I'll keep full throttle blasts to a min. We'll see

If you reduce your prop diameter a bit with the higher voltage, you should be well within the power limits of your motor without sacrificing performance. You'll probably notice considerably longer flight duration as well.

Well I put 3 flights on it today. Because of the power difference I needed full throttle rarely. Motor and batteries were quite a bit warmer ( but not hot ) than they were with 3 cells but everthing hung together just fine. I flew it after with 3 cells but the extra power is very addictive I need some 3200 mah 4S batteries now
