I ended up using Tradestation and so far I like it, don't have any major issues. I had a lot to learn, but I got used to it already. Let me know if I can help you answer any other questions.

i just signed up with scotts trade today, well see how it goes, completely new to the subjects of stocks

I am not sure if that broker is a direct access broker . If your daytrading stocks you will want to be able to route your orders how you choose. Just food for thought.
