Im used to Cool Edit/Audition, but after tinkering with Soundforge I have found that it has a better quality sound, the effects are also a lot more crisp sounding with a lot more presets and sliders to tweak around with. I have Wave Lab, Cool Edit, and Soundforge. Of the 3 I prefer soundforge but thats what I originally learned with too. Its a bigger program than cool edit (which is shocking because cool edit has a multitracker in it) but I agree that the quality comin out of soundforge is better even tho u can get better quality with different plug ins

Yeah I wasn't sure if it was just my eagerness for better quality that made me believe the audio sounded better haha. But even a couple friends said it does so I guess it does.. must be because Sony has a lot more experience with sound then adobe or syntrillium the people that owned cool edit before.

I was wondering what other wave editors I could use besides Abode and Audacity (sucks balls imo). I'll be looking into that soundforge then. WHat aobut that wave lab, is it hot?

Adobe is extremely user-friendly and easy to get accustomed to. I actually recorded in Soundforge for a period of time and it was a solid program as well, but Adobe would be my recommendation.

soundforge is a peice of ass cant even multitrack as far as i can tell it's not even compatible with VST plugins, which makes is completly useless when it comes to mixing/editing CEP/Adobe > Soundforge
