With so many of you on prednisone (occasionally or all the time), I know I'm not the only one dealing with increased facial hair. I am wondering if anyone has discovered the best way (at least for them) to handle it. I have always had darker hair on my upper lip and arms. I'm Italian, so it just comes with the territory, I guess. Now I feel like I could pass for a 17 year old boy ...

I too have been battling the prednisone facial hair. For the longest time I have been snipping mustache whiskers with a very sharp small sisscors every morning before I put my contact lenses in. Because I can no longer see near or far when I put my distance lenses in the hairs ago away. Well at least to me they do. One day I happened to catch a glimpse of the side of my face near my ...

i could live with being hairy if it didnt mean being fat and hairy...the weight issue w/prednisone is the worst thing, but for me, nothing has worked to take away pain (other than vicodin) than prednisone. and after 1-2 vicodins i'm feeling like i could scratch myself to death...but no pain:-) choices, choices...hair, fat or scratching.

Oh the joy of prednisone. I've been on prednisone for over two years so not only do I have facial hair it seems to be every where. I tried electrolyis for awhile but it was a lost cause and way to expensive. I have very sensitive skin also but finally I asked my hair dresser to try waxing for me. She uses bees wax and I must say I was a little red after she did it but the redness went away ...

I have been on predisone for almost 18 yrs. I amm 55 and I get the peach fuzz. What I did , I looked for a battery shaver the size of a pencil. Once or twice a week I shave the areas. It has worked great for me. I do it at night or when ever. Then I use my face cream or serum after. Good Luck I am not one to go get it off with pain, you would think with all the pain we have we would be ...
