I think 3g changes things dramatically, download speeds for youtube and quicktime, being able to stream very quickly it just enhances the device and gives much more options. Talk and browse or dowload at same time.

no big deal for me. Even though I qualified for the upgrade and only had to wait 2 more weeks for it to be released I made the decision to pay the etf now and switch back to t-mobile. Call/network quality and open access are much more important to me than another locked down handset and no plan choice. Nope, the 1st gen is all I need. I'll probably just buy the iPod touch from now ...

im actually shocked at your pragmatism and lack of insults towards anyone. this is a breath of fresh air, thank you. im staying with the original iPhone for the same reasons, im just greatly pleased with this phone
Folks - the 3g iphone is a phone - this is not a... Folks - the 3g iphone is a phone - this is not a life-changing occasion - please get some perspective. iphone and rain means anoraks ... ;-)
