many hardcore ALIEN fans are horror fans. they dislike sci-fi and action, and they wanted the sequel to be an ALIEN clone, not the genre-crossing, innovative masterpiece that ALIENS is. that's why many of them praise ALIEN3. it's the ALIEN clone they always wanted.

many hardcore ALIENS fans are action fans. they dislike sci-fi and intelligence, and they wanted the series to be an actionfest, not the genre-crossing, innovative masterpiece that ALIEN is. that's why many of them hate ALIEN3. it's ruins their hopes of the series being nothing but action.

I never said Aliens isn't a masterpiece, My father collects old moviezines and he was a huge fan back in the day. I have an old issue of 87 with a james cameron interview where he clearly states that there was no way in hell he could top the 1st film and so he changed the genre altogether and he considers the original as the best although his version is a worthy successor. That is not the point anyway...what pisses me off is why do aliens...
