emergency brake leather removal | Thread profile

Does anyone know how to replace the leather trim on the emergency brake lever? I pulled the entire device off a junked car, but I don't want to install it all, just the leather wrap. Thanks!

Someone must know how to remove that leather. Any ideas! Matt|ttaM

So no one knows how to remove that leather? I checked the FSM. It shows how to do everythign else to the brake, but not remove that leather. Matt|ttaM

as far as i know the leather didn't come stock on any FCs. if it is one of those aftermarket ones then you have to pull the bottom of the boot up and cut the zip tie thats holding it on.

My 91 parts car came with leather on the e-brake handle. It definately looks factory. I have no idea how to get it off, though. I was thinking about pulling the whole lever off and switching it on to my car.

Its been a while since I've owned an FC but doesnt the ebrake handle cover just slip off? If anything, its held on with a crappy phillips screw. My brother put a leather boot on the ebrake handle of his FC. I wasnt there when he did it but it cant be that hard since he didnt call me for help.

This isn't the boot, its the actual handle - the thing you put your hand around.

Hmm, I don't see any easy way to remove just the handle part. I'll take a closer look tomorrow.
