Dell's warranty is for hardware only, so it is no surpirse they wouldn't help you.If you provdie system details and specifics of the problem, someone may be able to offer insight (not me - I rarely use WMP).

I''m not sure exactly what you mean. Windows Media Player wasn't really made to edit music. It was just made to organize and play your music.Message Edited by SleekLlama on 08-31-200603:20 PM

But when I go into the library the song title ,artist and album name aren't listed. So I go into the edit to put in the name.

you should un-install it, then go to windowsmediaplayer.com and re-install it (heck, install the beta version of windows media player 11) when your done with re-installation, when you're opening it, it will ask if you want to search your computer for music files, so do it, make sure you check the box that says let the internet update the stuff too. also, i don't know that it will do that for ...

Yes, I deleted the old one, and re-installed the new one off of disc, still no good, went to a computer shop, they re-loaded it from Microsoft and now it works fine. It cost me , but , with all the headaches it was giving me, I'm glad it is done now.  So if I can find out what I can do to order my skin for my new laptop now, that will make me feel better about Dell. I can't seem to get the ...

Dell say they aren't responsible for software they installed on the computer which caused the computer not to operate properly..  What kind of customer service is that? If you buy a  car and the tires are causing a bumping ride, wouldn't you go back to the person you purchased it from.  If you get a meal at a resturant and it's not cooked right , don't you have the maker of the meal get it right?...

Dell is known for it's customer service so don't bust on them. you're one of those few people that they actually couldn't help. but like i said before, build your own computer and you won't have to deal with companies like Dell if you don't like them so much. simple as that.
