I never said that I did not enjoy nor had a lack of knowledge on the subject. I only requested that both of us try and make the points more concise as to limit the need for either of us to type a repeating novella on each post. Sometimes there is no real time for it and not everyone has days to research quotes to counter post. Even when information is what you have read before, without a fully extensive library on Alexander (yourself...

Indeed, using Rome as example; Rome's grand strategy can be divided into at least seven parts, each one heavily depended on the political structure and frontier situation.

I'd probably go Roman legion style, a professional, well drilled, well equipped coordinated armies. Except with a heavier reliance on light and heavy cavalry and plenty of English long-bowmen. All of which would have probably been possible in England in the early middle ages.
Whether it would have worked or not, erm....

The problem is that there were no "national" CoAs, or CoAs tied to a certain title, before the later 13th Century. All CoAs were personal ones of the holder. So, whatever you take its ok.
Lions were very popular in Northern/Western Europe in the 11th and 12th Century. I guess that about 1/2 of the CoAs I could verify for dHRR in Germany, England and surrounding regions had a lion. ...

It would have been helpful if you had stated what you considered "excellent" in this lengthy article. As far as I see it this article draws some strange conclusion in its attempt to show the Crusades as a justified reaction to Islamic attrocities, what turns out to be problematic for the author because the examples he named either had happened a good century before the 1st Crusade or several ...

Everybody contributed to the technology field. However, I think that the Germans and Russians set the most revolutionary designs in the military technology. The USA played a big role with the atomic bomb and some infantry weaponary too, but I find that the Germans with their overall designs and the Russians with their overalll designs set the highest breakthroughs which are still used ...
