For the fronts, you will need to bend the shaft down as in the second (side) photo if it is not already so that it is perpendicular. For the rear ones, I trimmed them back by about an inch or two and drilled and tapped them similar to the fronts and simply bolted them through the frame. Here is a good reference from the front: http://users.tellurian.net/robert/spyder/picture%20002.htm

Beck's from Brazil

I believe the originals were made all in Upland. Then after a couple of years Chuck met Kevin Hines, they went to Brazil and partnered up with Newton. There they purchased the old Chamonix factory and left the name the same as it was easier paperwork-wise. Thus the Brazilian Beck was born.

I merely made the observation based on my own experience with Vintage and made no recommendations. Correct? As for question #2, I am not a clairvoyant and, as such, can't advise others one way or another. I merely expressed some positive criticism. I certainly didn't realize Vintage was apparently such a sore subject to you and I apologize if what I said was offensive in any way. _________________ "Shoot low, boys. They're...

The link provided a great historical and pictorial review, even if leaving a host of unanswered questions regarding original molds, number of cars made in CA, legal rights, etc! Thank you

Be careful who you are calling a coward, greenie Should I dare to think some folks are not only tolerant of abhorrent business ethics, they are the enablers promoting it. Of all people, Mark, when it comes to watching your spyder brothers (or sisters) getting dealt some really shoddy business practices I thought you would be a little less permissive and express a little more outrage yourself. I'm not picking a fight with you or Barry, or...

All Beck's are bulit in Brazil by Chamonix.
There may be other lower quality builders in Brazil.
I purchased mine direct from Chamonix at a time when there were no distributors in Australia. Carey Hines is the importer of Chamonix and markets as "Beck" in the USA.

I just put my windshield on yesterday...I took some pics and posted them on my flickr.com build log. The windshield and seals don't really fit perfectly as they appear to all be hand cut. BTW, mine is a Thunder ranch as opposed to your vintage, but I believe the windshield is made by the same company.

Wow.
Special Edition with Kevin and Carey, along with Jake Raby for the engine, were an absolute dream come true. The entire experience went flawless from start to finish. _________________

Contact Russ at fibersteel. He gives a template with the front jacking points. The rears just get welded to the rear frame rail by the hinges and can be used. The fronts can't unless you install some framework to support them, of course welded to the frame. _________________ 2002 Vintage

Great to hear Bill! I am doing some changes to my car while it is put away for the winter. Fluted headlights, HB4 headlights, fuel tank shut off valve, finish off the toneau, cover for the rad, and i am sure there will be more before its time to put the plates back on.

As a former USAF officer I have USAA, any US military member and their dependents qualify. USAA is a great company and will take care of you. They have great rates and customer service.

It's hard for me to see where on the engine this is but it might be one of two things.If you take it out and there is antifreeze on it then it is like this;
http://www.lovehorsepower.com/SubaruDocs/CoolantTe mpSensor.html
If there is nothing or oil on it it might be the cam position sensor. I don't have my engine yet, so I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.

It would help if you mention what state you are in since how a car is titled varies a lot from one state to the next. _________________

Greg at Vintage uses Bilstein shocks in the rear. I believe they are custom built to his spec. _________________
