I considered all this, guys - I don't think any of us have the power to dictate or even guesstimate how someone might or might react to any given post. I think the points here in response to the OP argument are well made and serve a purpose. but...if this is gonna become one of those self-referencing threads that only talks about itself I'll have to rethink. hi OH - It's been my experience that actions speak louder than words. if you're separated now, why not let some time pass, then see if anything that's been promised is actually happening. the definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. what about this time is going to be a different result? I think you know the answer to that question. I hope you'll make the decision that is best...

Dot. Somehow that seems like as appropriate of an answer as any (although I do realize you just deleted whatever you wrote ). Ago... that one caught my eye, re the "don't think this is what you wanted to see" (I'm paraphrasing). I don't know what I expected to see. I suppose I expected to see new ideas--or just bopped upside the head, like I need--I got some, and got bopped upside the head, and I thank...

Yes, so I mention to the leader that it was giving me problems after all, before they plan the next session, that is clearly 'in order', then do step 3 with my sponsor to place myself under the Holy Spirit then see how He leads us all. The session before the dinner is definitely an important part of what God has given me for my spiritual development and belonging. So I envisage either leaving early if I arrange transport, or with the...

I have been put on meds inthe past. I have had lexapro first time then effexor then cymbalts. The cymbalta is what I believe had something to do with me trying to kill myself in 2007. As low as I have been so many times. And as many times as I have thought about ending it all. I have never really attempted it until then. And pretty extreme way too. I am scared of the side effects. And I really cant tell if they work or not. And the changing...

No, I would not sign the paper unless the person had attended the entire meeting. So, the person doesn't think AA is right for them? Big deal. They evidently got in trouble with the law because of their drinking and they are now having to suffer the consequences. After they have fulfilled their duties under the law, they can stop attending meetings if they wish; however, in the meantime, they...

Detoxing from alcohol is the deadliest detox of any drug - 7 times as deadly as opiate withdrawal/detox. You need to see a Dr., period.

Yay! First one in the new Henhouse! How exciting! Shall I decorate? Okay, lots of comfy pillows everywhere. A plush, cushy couch. Plenty of water on ice and coffee on tap. A designated smoking area? Nah. We shouldn't be doing that anyway. I know! Kitty beds and climbing posts! Nice soothing shades of blue on the walls. How about a disco ball? Too much? Okay, scratch that. Soft ...

I'm not sure what to say. Part of me wants to say I'm sorry you relapsed. But, another part of me isn't sure that you feel sorry that you did...so what on earth would "I" be sorry for? Yep. You made a mistake...big time. Don't let it break you. Just get up, dust off and start over. I do kind of feel bad that you let 25 months of clean time slip away, though. I would give anything to ...

I just have one question: How can you work on a marriage when your husband high-tails it out of the house if you bring up a subject that is a problem for you?
Yes, marriage requires work, but it sounds to me like you, alone, are willing to work and your husband just wants you to ignore the problem........
Huge hugs, HG
