For all programmes on RAI 1 2 & 3 you need a Tivisat receiver on 13E - Boxes are in short supply and only available to folks with an Italian tv licence and address. Cards / cams should be available next year sometime TV Globo is available on 13E as well although its also scrambled.

Dude, what channels do you want to receive from Hispasat, because pretty much everything FTA on that satellite is duplicated on 19.2ºE?

Hi there,
I am brand new in terms of satellite, so first of all, apologies if I sound silly. I am in the IT area, started reading about satellites and TV, althought I am still not certain about what kit to get in order to get Hispasat + Astra + Hotbird in the same dish. What I am really interested is to get italian TV (RAI 1,2,...) and possibly GLOBO international (which I know is encripyted...

You probably need a bigger dish for the BBC channels:
_http://www.astra2d.com/spain.htm
_http://www.astra2d.com/iberia2d.htm
suggests over 2m is needed for decent reception of the BBC & other channels!

Seems a short timescale considering the number of national and local stations transmitting in analogue on 19E. I'm sure that'll upset a few diehard analogue receiver owners in Germany.

The first question you need to answer is "are there any codes available for CS Link"
I rather suspect there arent and you will need an official subscription

hello the lnb can be adjusted no problem.
but what frequency will you be reciving?
the osc can be adjusted by about 90 mhz.
if they were transmitting on a frequency of 10660 ghz your receiver will not tune below 10.750 so moving the lo to 09.660 ghz and bingo the receiver will receive a frequency transmitted below the satellite band by 90 mhz.
the receiver will say 10.750 even though you ...

Thanks guys, very useful. So looks like i'll get a quad LNB to point at 28E and then 2 single ones for the other two sats along with a 4 way switch to feed 3 of them down to the PC. Glad i waited for replys now
Just need to decide if i try it with the 65cm dish, or just bite the bullet and get an 80cm and do a proper job first time
Have to say its great having just the sky feed into ...

You can use IEPG 1 instead of Hip Hop. Just change it from a data channel to a tv channel with Dreamboxedit. Its FTA background music on the same transponder as Hip Hop. Carries the data stream.

Dish manufacturers (well good ones anyway) will usually have a high wind option to the standard reflector. It can either be made of thicker material, and/or have better supporting of the edges where the feed arms are installed.
Hardest material is probably the fibreglass/composite materials where not only is the ribbing part of the reflector, making for good resistance to warping, but the ...

Impossible to answer as its different for every location, every dish / lnb combination, and every receiver.
