Game against Indianapolis

A little perspective from Rodney Watson, via the Southern in today's editions: "I thanked (Lowery) for the game," Watson said. "It's hard to get Division 1 games in our situation. When Rick Herdes would call us, we'd say, 'No Rick, our fans can't handle the possibility of a loss.' I'm so grateful that he would play us. It was our only opportunity to play a game."...

Rodney knows our players, and prepared his team accordingly. Jamar Smith is the REAL deal. He hit some shots yesterday that were unreal. He was off balanced, and well guarded at times. The other guy, Dunchen??????, knocked down open shot after open shot. These guys could make a serious run at a DII championship. Will Hare be able to play this year with them? I'm reserving my judgment until after the next game.

I saw that over and over again at the bar last night. Everytime it was shown, more people saw it at the bar and you could hear the loud groans and holy xxx. I bet she's dynamite in the sack.

Was at Booby's earlier too. My food was good but I have to agree, that place is a filthy disgrace... Somebody needs to send a health code inspector in there and fine the s**t out of the owner for letting that place get so nasty.

No reason to feel sick about it, all good siu fans should cheer for other valley teams during non-conference play. Hell, I even cheer for wichita.

He's a wuss?
He acts like he takes a punch from Tyson at least once a game. Its really old.
Even the staff told the trainer to hold off before going out on the court to check on him.
AB just needs to act a little tougher.

Considering that the Jackrabbits haven't been held to fewer than 10 points at home against an FCS opponent... ever. I doubt that they'll score only 9 points. SDSU is averaging 33 points per game at home over the last two seasons. SDSU is 18-4 vs. FCS competition at home since starting its transition. The home losses were to UNI, McNeese State (4 OTs), and Cal Poly (twice).
I'm just saying...

Isiah Jones up to #4 in the state for class of 2010, according to Chicago Hoops.
and considering this kid is downstate, a high ranking from Chicago Hoops means something.
Definitely keep an eye on this kid....

Southern Illinois coach Chris Lowery got more than a gold medal when he went to New Zealand to aid Pitt coach Jamie Dixon at the Under-19 World Championships. Lowery found out how to be an assistant coach again.
While he coached the players on the floor, Dixon put Lowery and fellow assistant Matt Painter of Purdue in charge of substituting.
