Quote: And you think that a religious person would be sane denying what they believe to be true for the sake of their desires? Maybe some would, but there are some of us who actually believe that our beliefs are true. Considering all the religious people that manages to make them work together, I don´t think it is as black and white as that. But my honest opinion is that while I respect your faith I also don´t think your faith is correct,...

While I don't deny the claims of the OP, I would like to point out that I still don't think it's justified to "hate" an etire nation for any reason. No nation contains an entire lot of people who have the same beliefs, the same political views and so on. Hate is wrong. I realize it's a natural human emotion, but it can (and usually should be) overriden by reason. Any person who hates an entire nation, no...

This is what I was leaning towards, more than the uses of fire. Quote: I think we're wrong to assume that our ancestors thought God was the answer to their ignorance. It wasn't, and it still isn't. They somehow know I don't mind talking about drugs, sex and use cursewords. ( Dutch people in general speak about those subjects in a different way) It is handy to use the dutch stereotype on me, because I think it does get close to my personallity...

Even if you demonstrated that homosexuality was not a choice, but a result of natural causes, you would not eliminate or even perhaps significantly reduce prejudice against homosexuals. People who are prejudiced against homosexuals are irrational. And no rational argument changes an irrational view.

What about this:
Atheists have a belief system which include:
Enjoy life,
Call every Christian crazy,
Read the God delusion,
So Atheism is a religion, so Atheists are being that what they hate, so they should kill themselves to get rid of their religion!

The need to cycle antibiotics, and of course the many, MANY experiments that have been done through which one could directly observe evolution (for instance, there were quite a few studies on fruit flies back at school).
You'd have to be either blind or an idiot to not notice it all around you. Observing bacteria or insects is just easy mode.
