What I'd like to know is HOW the local dialects can be so different? I can understand Cornwall and Glasgow being different etc, but Scouse and Manc, and other quite close areas being different?? We had a guy at one place who everyone called Brummie, tho not to his face cos he went off on one. He was I dunno, Stourbridge or somewhere. Mind, I've been called Taffy when working on South Coast... (Mind I had the last laugh I can tell...

I would shoot it outdooors and get someone to allow you to use a classic car from the era, they will probably jump to the opportunity if they get some nice pics in return, something like a big convertible beast. Also I would shoot somewhere either by the beach or in or near some old buildings so the background is timeless and can't be dated.
If in the studio I would use some of the film ...

From what I have read here and elsewhere that is a good lens you have got yourself.
I'm loooking for a secondhand Sigma 20-40 f2.8 DG which is a discontinued lens but do you think I can find one?

OK, I looked long and hard into this myself.
The Sigma 10-20mm is probably the best ultrawide for the money you can buy.
It always wins the top spot in magazine UW lens tests.
It wins because of it's build and image quality AND it's low cost.
However, mostly (not all but usually) the Canon gets better marks for the image quality.
Internet review sites waver between the two.

The F90 is a good choice, and can be grabbed quite economically from fleabay. Other choices could be any on the old Minolta series. Sorry, I gave mine up a few years ago, and moved on to digital, many many years after most of the pros did. Last one I owned was an Autoreflex T, which worked absolutely super.
