RSS News Feed Post from KTNV The House narrowly approved its version of the health care reform bill and Nevada's representatives voted down party lines on the legislation. Republican Dean Heller voted no. Democrats Shelley Berkley and Dina Titus both voted in favor of it. Congresswomen Titus and Berkley said it was a hard fought battle, with nearly unanimous Republican opposition and admitted that the “Affordable Health...

Travelocity wireless service is available in most hotels now, but it's costs. It's normally about $10/day, $37/week, or $50/month. I was using it the past few weeks downtown, but I've gotta warn you that the service really sucks. It's purported to be high-speed Internet service, but it's slow and the signal drops often. There isn't a lot tech support can do for you. It's just a lousy technology. I was totally...

Vdara is scheduled for 12/1. Mandarin Oriental is for 12/5. Aria is 12/16. So no casino on the site until the 16th. I am vague as to when Crystals, the shopping component opens, but it may be in December, too.

Some strange table-game happenings

That really suks tobydog! I'd have been insensed. I've had sloppy dealers muck my wrong bets on a 7-out when I used to switch back and forth between right and wrong betting. I didn't know who to challenge back then. That is the primary reason I almost NEVER forfeit dealer mistake bonuses to this day. If they are too lazy and inconsiderate to right their wrongs, as in mucking my winning bets or in your case blatantly cheating a...

If you are looking on-strip, I don't know of any.
If you are open to where you are staying, there are a couple of Springhill Suites & Fairfield Inn(s) just east of the strip. One near convention center & another set behind Bahama Breeze (I believe straight east on Flamingo).
You would want to call to verify but SS & FI always advertise free internet and a free continental breakfast...

This column has caused some heated discussions and I wanted to see what you think.

Are you looking for limit or no limit? There are a ton of decent tournaments out there if you want to play one of those. You'll have less risk to lose, since typically you can only buy in once.

Agree with everything you posted. I also noticed during my August trip that the single deck tables were being dealt from a shoe. What's up with that? My only consolation is that I have great memories of playing there when it was a great game, i.e., 3/2 BJ, all single deck pitch, no table maximums, pit bosses that had control of comps, etc.

Well, I'm going to side with Joe on this one. I'd be annoyed as heck too if some stranger came running up to me asking to snap my picture especially when I'm likely still grieving over the loss of a son. I just don't get this fascination with "celebrities" some people have. I've sighted and dined beside numerous celebs over the years and wouldn't even think of intruding on their privacy unless ...

I prefer to stay in hotels on the strip, mid strip. I enjoy being able to walk directly out of my hotel onto the strip. I have stayed at both ends of the strip, Strat, MGM and Luxor and would just rather stay midstrip, i.e., Bally's, Bellagio, Caesar's.
