Growling Transmission

I suppose that the "growling" noise is the transmission driving too hard against the car braking, the car brakes make a noise like that? when cold engine idle is high and this situation is worse, maybe engine cold idle is too high? otherwise there is a transmission fault Is it a V6 engine?

The 500 is the fun car to drive, there are no rust issues on them, the early 300 is ok and the 320 with the 104 had some wiring harness issues, but most have been fixed now.
Most have climate and the rear seats, but not all for those years.
Is it worth you taking a look at that very nice 500 that a guy is selling on the forum

The roof mechanism linkages shouldn't need lubricating, but wiping the rubber seals with a silicone grease is always a good idea.

I love what you have said and this is the feeling that many of us get.
Your CC problem will be because of the BAS fault and there is a good chance that the one on the rear axle has failed after you Stig antics.
Do use an indie that knows the cars, and not a normal garage

Hi TP, that's bad news. Any idea where it's losing the compression? Valves? Rings? I'm guessing it was on a cold engine?
