you can always build your pins in the lock 1-2-9-1-9 and this is a hard to pick lock

Thanks for providing this guide, it really helped clear some things up. I'll still be sending my order to rai for the real thing, but I decided try making a bogota rake myself today. I used a Dremel for most of it, then some handfiles to round it out. I've done some sanding but am not nearly finished with that aspect. Generally speaking, any padlock that size is junk regardless of who makes it (with the exception of abloy, apparently they make luggage locks with the protec in them ). They're ok to give you a general idea of tension and what it feels like when the pins are all set, but that's about it. They have really sloppy tolerances because the components are so tiny, which means it doesn't matter how much...
