Then there are the policy differences between the two presumptive major-party nominees for president. John McCain (R) is one of the Senate's most outspoken supporters of the Iraq war, while Barack Obama (D) has opposed it from the start. Senator McCain wants big tax cuts and less government spending; Senator Obama wants tax breaks targeted at the middle class and greater government involvement ...

screw it... im starting this. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.d...T04/8012803 24/ granted, it is at a reds caravan appearance, but still nice to see phillips say he wants to be a red. Also, great intro by brennaman. im feeling somewhat optimistic about the reds. i think theyll be just good enough to barely miss out on the playoffs. i also thought theyd have a winning record last year ...

The first salvos in the "War on Paper" were fired yesterday as I received my first political mailing of the stretch run. I'm gonna tally them up and see who wins. The first shot was fired by Campaign for Change - a Democrat non-profit. 1 - John McCain. Out of touch with women's lives. basic premise: John McCain loves unborn babies more than women. What's in YOUR mailbox?

A few weeks ago the GF and I went on a week-long BBQ road trip. It took us down through Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee, then we drove through Arkansas and up to Kansas City before driving back home through Illinois. We drove over 1000 miles through six states, two national forests, and the Ozarks. We saw Graceland and the Stax museum in one day. We ate BBQ 12 times in eight days. ...

It's a tough call. It just seems like if you vote third party it's because you hate the two party system and the way people pick a party and vote instead of looking at the issues and the candidates. If you vote for Barr, aren't you doing the same thing? It seems like all you're doing is allowing your party's message to get co-opted. I guess if it were me, I'd just write-in someone ...

So I'm finishing up my Internship at a local company. I've done good work for them but just haven't been able to get along with many of the employees. It's an engineering company, and seems very much like a 'boys club'. The object of their humor is to dish out insults, and you're supposed to dish them back. I'm not really that kind of person, so I just sit there and am barraged with insults to ...

Sunday River Brew Pub - Sunday River/Bethel, Maine - I used to live there so I am very baised, but great brews (Black Bear Porter is fantastic) and pretty good food. FX Matt Brewery (Genesee, Utica Club, Brooklyn, Saranac) - Utica, NY -I grew up a few miles away in Rome NY, so to take this tour was kind of like an annual thing. Trinity Brew Pub - Providence, RI -Right around ...
