Mind you, if Jar Jar makes the Ewoks look like Shaft, this shower makes Jar Jar look like Christopher Walken I usually disagree with Atomic Suplex about films, but his contention that the first half to second half slump in Explorers is the single worst turn of events in any film ever is very very close to the mark imo

Not sure many of you will actually know who he is... but still. One of the old school modernists... Probably his best know building is the RCA. Good piece of modernism, I'm sure some don't like it, but hey. Also did part of the interior redesign of the RA. including this print room: Anyway, worked with Erno Goldfinger (with my grandmother) before starting his own ...

How? It's Rambo the ambulance again, and it'll pass an MOT fine but for one thing: windscreen replacement. I've been quoted up to a grand from autoglass type places, and then when it came to it they couldn't find the right one, as they didn't know what it was. The garage have asked around all of their contacts, but aren't having any joy. I could post the reg no and chassis no. if ...

I just been knocked off my motorbike... Just been shopping and on my way home, a long straight road about 300 metres from home. I'm behind this Fiesta which is doing about 20mph and is firmly to the left - plenty of room to overtake and nothing coming in the opposite direction. I overtake and just as I'm level she turns 90 degrees right, cutting straight into me. I go over the bonnet, ...

Anyone else doing it? I am praying for good weather. Struggled enough last year (but did the extra 35 miles to Ipswich as well) despite loads of training. This year no training at all really so my 18mph average of last year might be more like 8mph - just hope I finish to be honest. http://www.southwarkcyclists.org.uk/dunwichfaqs.ht m

The thread about Syntax era, and digging around for loads of old screen shots, got me to thinking about graphics, especially 3D, between then and now. Now don't get me wrong, I think the 3D available today is outstanding - motion captured characters etc, depth of play areas, realistic texture mapping and all that stuff... However... There's a part of me that thinks that videogames ...
