Maybe they will. Thebands were sent a questionare earlier on in the year. I know we backed it (as a band) as we felt there was enough prestiege in going. The reasons:1) ranking points, 2) a chance to maybe qualify for Europe. The hall has been booked for another three years but it remains to be seen if the contest will survive. I wouldn't be suprised if the number of competitors is much lower than last year.

I believe that to use six "very's" to describe a mild feeling of peckishness is a gargantuan, massive and overwhelming exaggeration.

I'd say that the mouthpiece might contribute 5 to 10% to the problem but pitching and intonation issues are more usually resolved through personal practice and having a good ear! Mouthpiece manufacturers make their money by selling dreams and offering hope to those searching for the holy grail of tone and range. What about changing the sixe of the mouthpiece by trying a different instrument? ...

I can't possibly see how tongwynlais can be band of the year, they won the 1st section nationals, against 1st section bands, and Pontins, which lets be honest isn't the strongest of competitions!
When they played against some better opposition, i.e. wychavon, they did not do so well!
As has been said i agree with most in that Cory or Dyke will be band of the year
