Hacked E-Mails Fuel Climate...
Published (2009-11-20 23:40:00)
Hundreds of private e-mails and documents hacked from a computer server at a British university are causing a stir among global warming skeptics, who say they show that climate scientists conspired to overstate the case for a human influence on climate change. The e-mails, attributed to prominent American and British climate researchers, include discussions of scientific data and whether it should be released, exchanges about how best to...

'London After Midnight'
Published (2009-11-20 23:58:00)
It's essence is the evolution of vampires in horror--their appearance from evil and nasty (a la Nosferatu) to sparkley and sexy (twilight). However, the base of the premise is that real vampires do not sparkle, ever. (don't get me wrong, however, I am all about the Volturi but I prefer more True Blood/Anita Blake to my vampires) So I am going decade by decade listing movies that best represent this evolution. London After Midnight...

I do think the picture is inappropriate for this purpose though. And why is she leaning on a flag?

There has been a resurgence of the militia movement nationwide, in part coinciding with the advent of the Obama administration. At least 50 new right-wing militia groups have been identified by the Montgomery, Ala.-based Southern Poverty Law Center, a nonprofit civil rights organization. All have formed within the last two years, many spreading their speeches and combat exercises on YouTube....

Dear other coven,
I will be at Mabon on Saturday, because it's M's going away party and I can't afford to go to the hot springs for the girlie party.
However:

In any case, he's legally well within his rights to refuse to say the pledge. That was established decades ago. I agree with his mother -- the teacher should apologize for trying to intimidate him into saying the pledge.

I freaking love Black Friday, and it has nothing to do with any deals. I just love to watch people. I try to avoid stores where there may be a riot (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, WALMART), so I usually end up at Sears, of all places. I troll the tool section and then have a nice breakfast at Chick-Fil-A.
Last year, actually, was a minor exception. They had a really good deal on a Sony Blu-ray ...

Why are people so stupid?
I wish I were more grown up to not have the following thought running through my head: "I am going to call it "Exmas" just to irritate the " War On Christmas" people."

Sausage-in-a-pancake-on-a-stick is awesome, Bob Evans biscuits and gravy rules, and Just Bunches is one of my favorite cereals.
I almost bought the Bagelfuls on my grocery hunting trip last week, but they're pretty expensive. They did look interesting.
Liquid Cereal, on the other hand, simply cannot be good.

With no evidence other than allegations being made about things that purportedly happened at least 15 years ago I'd probably find this whole thing "absolutely unbelievable" too if this was about people I knew.
