I actually phoned them this morning; I let my passive-aggressive side win, I am sad to say. In the mail today, however, was a card to Li'l from my mom. It's like an early Christmas miracle, as it was only 10 days late. So I feel like a shit.

It's just a standard sales pitch for something - except the video cuts off before we get to see what exactly they were selling to the vulnerable and gullible in the audience, but I'm willing to bet half of them handed over a fortune for a tiny bottle of whatever it was (H2O with energy at C30 levels (whatever that means) I suppose). I confess I couldn't watch the whole thing otherwise my brain would have exploded. It really...

If you lived in the DC area, I would suggest Chuck Levin's Music Store. If it's related to music, they have it. I know if someone was going to give me a guitar, they'd better get it restrung for lefties.

2. Dogs that can be made dangerous - including Alsations and Staffords, Pitt Bulls etc. Owners should require a licence, which will need a CRB check, a competence check, and a facilities check. ...

I'll mention this to a friend of mine who edits scientific papers for a publisher of journals. He once handled a paper that said, in statistical terms, that hit movies were unpredictable: that there was no such formula for predicting box-office success or failure. Having a good cast, a good writer, a good director, even having a good special-effects house, are only slightly correlated with ...

You know. I went through an Ayn Rand phase when I first started my undergrad. I got over it quickly when I realized that not only was Ms. Rand a bad writer, her ideas were pretty crappy as well.
I think alot of us go through that phase, only to grow up and wake up. There's certainly nothing wrong with that.
However, for adults to adhere to her ideology and hold her up as an example?

I didn't get any standout costumes this year- they were pretty lame at school this year, too. I guess all together we got about 25 or so. It's a much higher number than when we lived in the townhouse, but less than last year- stupid rain.

Amen to that. My biggest munchkin as a restaurant customer is having my conversation interrupted several times over the course of a meal by a server inquiring "How's everything?"

Honestly, if you follow the directions on the bird, it won't dry out.
But if you want something seriously good, and really not that complicated (just requires a little advance work), Alton Brown's recipe is what I've been doing the past several years, except I stuff my bird rather than use the aromatics.
