I've had three stones and couldn't stand vicodin either. I had my doc prescribe me Darvocet instead.

Glad to hear this is helping your sleep. Have you tried omega-3 fish oil, I'm not sure about spaciness, but I found it helpful for brain fog.

Thanks, Jeanie, I really appreciate all the info. I've had many of the same symptoms, was also tested for MS and cardio problems. It's really really encouraging to know that you are so much better! I hope you have a wonderful time on the cruise!!!!

Vicodin for a kidney stone
Published (2009-11-02 18:51:00)
I took vicodin once in 2006 and hated it. I don't think you're having a bad reaction; I think it just legitimately makes people feel like crap. I hope you feel better soon!

Mary - what time of day are you taking the sleep supplement? Could you take it earlier in the evening and maybe the spaciness wont be as bad in the mornings?

Hi Luc, 14 months since the final CT, but over two years since it started with the first huge drop. It's truly been a hellacious experience. I know I love my son, but I've still missed out on so much because I just could not be there. Like you being unable to go to work. Today has not been one of the 'better' days. In fact, it's been a rotten day. I have a lot of the physical stuff. It's days like this that...

It certainly could be stress related, but you could also suffer from migraines, albeit not as severe as what most people suffer when they get a migraine.
There's really no way of saying what it's from, one way or the other. If it continues, then see a doctor.

I have run across this article a few times when I get a bad case of the Googlitis. Interesting to say the least. I recently tried a herb my naturopath suggested, one that was mentioned a few times on this forum. Most posts were negative but I guess I like to learn the hard way. All I will say is that it didn't work out that well. I am still pretty fresh off from completing my taper so I know...

I saw that one when it was broadcast on TV here, it was very interesting. They talked a lot about lithium. There were some people who were doing well on the meds, and others who preferred to stay off meds because they were very creative during their manic phases.

I'm so glad the CBT is working for you.
One question -- what would you be looking for with a diagnosis? Would you do anything differently than you're already doing?

I do wonder now.
They say likes can spot likes; for example, an alcholic can spot another alcholic, a heroin addict can spot another, etc.
But the thing is that apparently there's a wide spectrum in the way people respond to ADs, so I don't know if you could tell.

The thing that helped me the most honestly was thinking "this is going to be over someday." Knowing it wasnt permanant....and its not...it just takes time. 8 months ago today I was in a psychiatric unit after having a severe reaction to celexa...a drug I didnt need...but took for ****s and giggles to see what would happen. Today I am 100 percent physically and mentally healed, although I ...

Yes I know, going CT was a BIG mistake some of us have made and I am still struggling with it. I have talked to dwell about this point, somtimes I think I am gonna make it out alive, and somtimes I am in dire fear that this mistake was fatal and I have no future ahead of me... I have still support from this forum, not the least because here I met my buddy Dutchy whom I talk alot over the phone ...

Oh Chris I know those feelings so well, that feeling of grief and emotional pain, the constant tears, everything you think of just makes you want to cry.
I dont think you should go on another med although I fully understand why you want to. The reason I say that is that when in the future you came off it or if it pooped out then you would have to go through all this again and maybe worse. 6 ...
