I'm starting to realise that it's probably not the Toppies that I love, but the Dynalites that are in them. They are .370 so I was going to try and find a lower offset head but finding that and .370 is a tough mix. I am looking at the Wishon 550 series but they will probably be too expensive when I could buy say a set of Precepts for under $150 (or so)

+6 v Par at Reddy today. 84/66 with 8 pars, 8 bogies and 2 doubles. 7 Fairways, 5 Greens. 32 Putts, no 3 putts but plenty of 2 putts that were very close. The greens are coming back but are still a bit slow and bumpy. Played really solidly, only 1 hook so that was good.

It's not a bad course, but it's best feature is the McLeod Cup honour board, which should be renamed the OZgolf Cup in honour of forum members winning 3 times from 2004-7.

Played Kwinana with the boys in an OzGolf day today.
Finished with 39 points, 15/24.
Started poorly, and a few 5-6 footers on the front 9 saved me from throwing in the towel. A 38 off the bat around the back 9 made me glad I stuck with it.
That, and taking simmsy's money. It is all worth it.

I used to hate hybrids with a passion but have come to get used to them now.. have a Ping 21 deg hybrid which is supposedly a 3 iron replacement but goes further than a traditional 3 iron. Stupid easy to hit. Don't think you will automatically need a 2 hybrid to fit between your 3 wood and 3 iron as as per above the 3 hybrids go longer typically than a 3 iron.

I just got a great Bridgestone J36 Hybrid off 'Back in the Swing'. It got me thinking about clubs bought here in the Proshop. Of my current gamers, I bought ;
a Mizuno Driver mp600 off (3oneday) although I changed the shaft,
the Bridgestone J36 hybrid off (Backintheswing); and
a Lajosi putter off Kari (although it is not really ho'ing).
Has anybody got a complete set of current ...
