Cool, it's good to see the updates on here coming a bit more frequently, I take it as a sign that stuff is finally picking up weather wise. This cool down the next couple days will certainly feel good. It was just too warm today for my liking. Hope you're doing well Chris, and all you fellow weather watchers as well.

well I haven't been on here in a while but the cooler weather is hinting that winter is on the way....my favorite time of the year. That would be some unusually cold air for this time of the year if that comes to fruition. This makes me wonder how this winter is going to be....

that is the 0c line at 850 mb which is about 5000ft. those maps would indicate temps in the 40s to 60s pending on time of day. however....some signals are pointing to a cold snap in October that will be severe this year. we will see. If it waits till early Nov then we have a chance at snow.

Capt. Chris, Glad to "see" you back and your comments for the week. Looks like we have rain moving in tonight! Maybe after the rain this week, it'll get cooler to cold and the fall colors will explode. Happy Fall tomorrow, and we continue to think of you and pray for you. An added thought, can you tell me what happens to the Pacific typhoons if they go east towards the USA, are they strong enough...
