I think EVERYONE should be sold on the concept of the MIDDLE.
It is extremely really hard to dispute the benefit of a fortuitous play that allows one to win on both sides of the SAME event. If you ever have done it and hit, you are sold for life on the concept and are the argument against seeking those kinds of opportunities completely vanishes.

I think you made a great move taking Vandy in a teaser. I am not sure what your amount was in relation to your dominant bet but even a partial hedge at
the 4th level of a 6 teamer is a solid move AND you have a great chance of middling that game as you basically have Georgia to win and Vandy getting more than 2 TD's.
I don't think you can go wrong with either suggestion you ...

Take the 3 horses that are rated the fastest. The horses rated the fastes aren't always the favorites.
Box them in an
Exacta. An Exacta bet is picking the exact order of finish for first and second.
Let's say the 3 horses rated the fastest are numbers 3,5 and 8.
You would box them in the Exacta. Tell the teller you want to bet a $2 Exacta Box numbers 3,5 and 8. This a bet that totals ...
