Had to drop a deuce about 20 miles out, ended up going missed approach and had to run back on downwind. Aircraft problems, I can handle. Physiological concerns are way worse. A slight intolerance to lactose and a big o'trough of Legal Seafoods clam chowder from Boston don't mix too well at times.

Government mandated minium pay

I am all for it, some of these regional jobs are paying people less than that of a garbage man. It is getting to the point where it is absurd. Worst of all, the heads of these companies are not taking pay cuts.

Let him scare himself enough to leave. Take him up say 10,000 and put the plane in the a spin and act as though you have suicidal intentions and let him think that if he doesnt recover the airplane you both will die. Sometime people just need the scared out of them.

NDB Approaches
I had a question for the instrument rating flight test. Are you required to perform an NDB approach during your instrument rating exam? I read the Instrument Rating Practical Test Standard April 2004 version, and it said:
The required radio equipment is that which is necessary for communications with ATC, and for the performance of two of the following ...

"Ice Pilots" New Reality TV Show
Filmed in Yellowknife, Canada, which for those unaware is not like the rest of Canada, but still a part of it.
Show featuring one of the if not THE only airline who still flies daily flights using:
DC-3's for Pax
C-46's
DC-4's
Made by the same folks who do Ice Road Truckers, and Deadliest Catch as far as I know, first episode ...

Women Officer: Has to prove to the world that she is worthy of that position and tries to arrest him.
Dude: Shouts out another sexist remark and proceeds to start up his engines.

My thought is-depends on where the student wants to go? Airline or Corporate-just be used to the glass. but either way-unless you can find a glass complex airplane for them to use for commercial, they'll be using steam anyways. unless they get a Bonanza G36 or something, which would be pricey. Otherwise, if it's just a rich doctor wanting to fly his Cirrus-let him learn in the Cirrus and get him ...

Re: Best USA FBO
I'd have to vote for the FBO at Sugarland, TX. Gorgeous facility, huge pilot lounge, very accommodating. Anyone that's been there knows what I'm talking about. Even the nicest Million Air has nothing on this place.
Actually, technically it's not even considered an FBO, b/c it was built and run by the City of Sugarland (from what I understand).
