I think it's a different kind of energy but I can't quite explain it. They are very trainable, very smart, very loyal. I think they are extremely versatile and can adapt to most living situations, either city living or country living. They can not under any circumstances be left outside. They just do not have the coat to protect them. My friend even goes so far as to put a coat over them when she takes them out in the winter.

By the way ChicagoCanine - I see that you too have a Maine Coon cat. They are so dog like it scares me. He's the one I am trying to get out of the tree.. definitely more of a "dog" than any other cat I have met. I wonder if they have kitty obedience classes, because he needs to be signed up immediately!!!

If this is climate change, I'll take it! Momma Moon, so excited to be at the beach, she was happily woofing at people. She cleared a section of the beach for us. When I realized what was going on, I started apologizing! Supervising the kids driving their construction equipment Walking with me Just a couple of bitches on the beach - note the half flying nun ear. This lets me know she's happy, even if she doesn't look it! More...

Update: The cats are indoor cats. Joe examined all the dogs and cats and saw no evidence of fleas. Having had flea trouble years ago (long story but I had no idea about fleas 20 years ago!) I know they are hard to deal with and one flea can mean 1000 over night. I also know if you have fleas they will infest every animal quickly. Joe ordered the BB lamb and rice and will switch to that. I find it funny such a common food needs to be special...

OMG OMG OMG! You have a MANX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (And a very beautiful one at that!) My family has only ever owned Manx cats (until I brought the stray that lived outside my dorm home for college.) When I first got Koji I thought his tail was just so weird and I would just play with it. People thought I was weird for being weirded out by my cats tail. Lol. ETA: Sorry for the over use...

To me it doesn't matter if he has a high balldrive or what kind of line he is from, what he looks like, etc. pp. It is like with kids. The ideal German Sheperd to me is the one you own and have fun with. I would love to get Yukon "geköred", would love to do Schutzhund with him. Heck, he's got it in his bloodline but he doesn't feel comfortable out there. It's probably because the previous guy F...

Can I ask why she is still sleeping in the bedroom? You don't need to answer that...just think about it. Here's my take on it. If you are going to let her stay there then move her lying, cheating butt to the couch. Inform her she is to stay out of the bedroom and not go anywhere near your dog or she'll find her stuff sitting on the curb.

After ya'll's conversation, he may shape up and be more humane in how he treats nick. maybe he has been embarassed into doing the right thing. however "maybe suggest him getting a crate or somthing along those lines" sounds like an appropriate and good idea too.

I feel your pain too! Went thru the exact same thing just this morning. There is this one guy that obviously thinks he is above the leash law and every time I see him and his weener dog, I ask him loud and clear "is your dog on a leash?" and every day he ignores me, and nearly ever time I see him I call the Park Services and complain. I get tired of people disrespecting the leash laws when I know...

Hope he heals soon.Good thing Max didn't get into it or he might be in worse shape. You'll just have to ease back into social interacts slowly and he may always have a problem with that breed or color dog in the future. Good luck and keep us updated on his healing.

If it is a legal thing that he must be contained, they probably have guidelines on fence height? Are you fencing in a whole yard or a run type area? If a run I would recommend putting a roof on it to be sure.

Dd has already had her regular flu shot and I have been making a pain out of myself with the doctors office wanting to know when the shots are going to be here for the h1n1. Both my kids will be getting that, even my healthy one. Why are you not comfortable with getting flu shots? Why would you normally get flu shots? Does anyone have any underlying medical conditions like asthma?
