Never seen this error. Have you tried Fengtao/Slysoft tools to disable CSS?

Since
DVD Shrink transcodes to mpeg2, there's only so much size you can save till quality degrades noticeably. So if you don't have the money for a 2.5" USB HDD you should consider ripping your movies to AVI (xvid/mp3) with AutoGK which will take more time than Shrink encodes but save considerable space with decent quality.

Check the FAQ on how to bypass new copy protections DVD Shrink can't handle.

Conversion time depends on the speed of your computer. Use AutoGK to encode to xvid with at least 700 MB per
90 mins to get approx. 1000 kbit/s which is decent quality for SD material.

Both RipIt4Me/Decrypter are seriously outdated and can't break current protections. Check the FAQ on how to proceed.

Try again after ripping the disc first with DVDFab, this might be a
copy protection problem. Haven't seen this myself yet.

Playing a sound when finished won't accomplish that?

Apparently because he felt that the tool can do anything it's supposed to and he was interested in doing
some other stuff rather than adapting this one to latest copy protections. I'm afraid that's all you get, dvdshrink himself was never very vocal about anything and getting in touch with him is almost impossible.
