What I am thinking about today relates to a sermon I heard at church yesterday. The sermon series is entitled, "Are We There Yet?" using a GPS mentality in terms of our spirituality. Yesterday the focus was "Keep Your Eyes On The Road" which can be related to our weight loss journey. So as you read this, focus on your weight loss journey. Your direction determines your destination. The wrong road will never...

Bob, suicide shakes us all to the core. We all are left wondering if there is something that we could have done to help the individual. It is so sad. Hope your wife can attend the funeral.

Am/Rh 'n all denizens o' East Haglia trooped on out to the parade grounds this frosty morn 'n conducted, as is their wont of a Sunday, the Sacred Ceremony 'o Dietary Justice. Things were iffy at first as the nervous Banker Elmira P. If you all seen my bag of supplements you would be shocked lol I just did my list for needed supplements and I have about 15 on the list I need to refill. I do go over the list each month and see if something on it can go - once in awhile I find 1 here or there that I tried for something and don't see it working on me and I get rid of it. Here is a part of my list ( from memory ) - maybe I need a vit/herb for memory lol Calcium &...

Hmmm.......my pants have been shrinking too! Strange that we both have tha problem at the same time.
But anyhoo, I know some people say not to wait to start, like start NOW or at the next meal. I can't do that either. I have to have my mind set to start and I have to have good food choices lined up. Nothing wrong with waiting till Saturday. Now if you said you were waiting till after...

Nice new journal! I do like that mantra!
You have found a great accountability mechanism for your exercise, and your 25 days out of 30 goal sounds great. Do you need something to help you out more accountability-wise with food? I wrote all of my food down & gave it to the trainer for several weeks in July, which is what really got me kick-started again. Every little bit helps!

Weight: 153 -- too much pasta & bread, followed by peanut M&Ms last night. Ack!
Calories/carbs: 1290/138.5g -- too many carbs, but good choices today.
Exercise: 70 minutes/12.5 miles bike -- longest ride of the year!
I made egg muffins this evening. Eating those for breakfast the next 6 days will help keep my carbs down better. I had pecan-crusted whitefish for...

Bell, I love your new journal title and attitude! As we learn and grow we tend to be more aware of ourselves and our goals change as our lifestyle and needs changes. You are fabulous already in my opinion and you are a great role model for all of us as we strive to be fit and fabulous! Being responsible and accountable without obsessing sounds like a great plan!

Hi, CJL:
Congratulations on starting a new journal. I keep thinking about doing that very same thing, but then I don't get it done. Maybe you will inspire me to start one.
At any rate, best of luck to you on your weight-loss journey. And I believe that it is a journey, a never-ending journey. Even those of us who have achieved a goal still struggle with our personal issues and continue ...
