Send email for publishing content
Published (2009-11-06 08:32:00)
For emails, the out of the box WCM workflow email is not customizable. There are many possible options, here are 3: 1) Use custom workflow action (If you're on 6.1). When the custom workflow action is triggered, use java mail API to send email 2) Use PZN Email rule. They allow customizable email messages, and can be used with the portal user collection to retrieve user email addresses 3) Use java mail API outside of custom workflow. Once...

IBM Lotus Web Content Management...
Published (2009-11-05 13:44:00)
Found out that this problem came after I javac my class object with <WP>\wcm\prereq.wcm\wcm\shared\app\ilwwcm-api.jar Then it would give me: IBM Lotus Web Content Management is not available. This problem is caused by shutting the IBM Lotus WCM out while compiling. A restart of the system resolved the problem, reset(stop and start) the wcm.ear doesn't solve the problem for me.

Published (2009-11-04 11:47:00)
By changing Element to Filter value in Transorm-Filter from ExcelContent/Row/Status to ExcelContent/Row, it worked fine. But I found another issue, I have to first click Wholedata service and then WithoutRed to see the output withour Red row. If I click WithoutRed service first I still see complete data..any idea.. Thanks.

Content Order in Menu Component
Published (2009-11-04 19:14:00)
Raja, Well, there is no solution within a menu component. The sort order is controlled by either Ascending/Descending within the selection criteria one chooses. If you select None for the three areas that you can chose to sort by, it will still sort the content in Ascending/Descending order. I was told that displaying the content in a Menu item based upon its position in a site area is not a good implementation. However, you can get the same...

How to store lotus mails on disk from notes domino as native files(Origin file)? I am trying to extract mails from lotus notes and need to store the mails on disk as a native files. The lotus notes format to extract values is: NotesSession->NotesDatabase->NotesView->NotesDocument Here NotesDocument is actually the email of lotus notes, and we we can easily extract every information or metadata of the email as in form of...

This should be the DB2 Content Manager forum, not Lotus Web Content Management. You may get a better answer there. That said, it looks like to me the icmrm.dll Should be removed from the bin directory. OR the other instance of the file in the classloader should be removed. Basically, icmrm.dll is being referenced multiple times in the classloaders, probably at multiple ...

Hi This can easily be done. The syntax for a direct URL to a Library Component is: http:// HOST : PORT /wps/wcm/connect/ PATH ?srv=cmpnt&source=library&cmpntname= componentname Example: http://host:10038/wps/wcm/connect/site/sitearea/co ntent?srv=cmpnt&source=library&cmpntname=component You can read more about this here: http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/portalwiki.nsf/dx/...

Hi Joe, Showing content by SiteArea view using MenuComponent is not possible. Even in portal 6.1, portal 7.0 beta also IBM is not providing this feature. Instead of MenuComponent you can go for NavigatorComponent, it will satisfy your requirement. Regards, Kishore
