So i've had this issue for months now but havent' been able to resolve it and hopefully someone can help me out. Ever since I built my multimedia center, I can't get any apps that use the 'js' helper file and 'click' things to work on my box. Another example would be my Speedtest app which works fine on my two other machines my tv-pc is a windows 7 box, but before that I had vista on it, and it did the same...

As you've found out, Boxee does not yet handle GPU acelleration and off loading. So, any video played through Boxee will hit the CPU. Now, if those same videos don't play at all in boxee, hmmmmm. I guess we'll need more clarification as to how these videos play inside and outside of Boxee first. Now my Revo 3610 runs Win-7 with Boxee. Even though Boxee itself does not handle GPU acelleration, the videos still play...they just...

Given you have the PC connected to a TV, you can have several places to control volue: The PC master sound out, Spdif HD out, and lastly the TV itself. And that's just the hardware. Check those to make sure one is not set to Zero.
In the Boxee Settings area, under System, you can adjust the Audio Hardware of the PC itself. So, check all three to see if one of them brings your sound up a ...

Hello there.
I have created different playlists within Windows Media Player which I would like to use on Boxee. Under the 'Local media' tab, there is no option for playlists and if I add it manually to 'Browse' I have to scroll a long way down to access my playlist files.
Is there a way to either bring the music playlists to the 'Local media' menu or move playlists to the top of the ...

Now that you mention it, I have the same problem with boxee and a couple other apps. I've always thought it was caused by Little Snitch misbehaving. I'll have to look into it a bit more.

Just wanted to wish everyone that celebrates it a Happy Thanksgiving in the Boxee community! May you be merry with family, friends, and food (...and wine).
Is everyone doing the traditional turkey day? We are, but I have friends whose families do tofu turkeys (or tofurkeys if you will). What's your favorite food this holiday? I'm partial to pecan pie. Any interesting traditions you do?...

Hi All,
I have had Boxee running on my AcerAspire One for a while now, in Linux, XP and OSX ;-)
I recently bought a fit-pc ( www.fit-pc.co.uk ) eith the sole purpose of creating a "boxee box" to be always on connected to the plasma screen. The PC comes with a GMA 500 video chip.
I have so far tried Ubuntu 8.04, 9.04, XP and Vista and I'm having trouble with all of them:

Where did you get that idea from? There's nothing in the blog about a beta sign-up. You can get into the beta by attending the Boxee beta launch event in New York on December 7th. They did say they might let some who can't attend the event into the beta, but I was under the impression that is by invite only.

I have tried the same thing and I have the same results as you. Something tells me that the Atv may not be able to support it. I hope I'm wrong and that support can be added.

I'll add that using the simple instructions you point to, it could not be simpler to get boxee onto your Apple TV!
It was so simple, in fact, that I thought I had done something wrong.

Up until recently I had Boxee working without any problems (on AppleTV),
but after reorganising my TV shows and trying to rebuild the library I hit a major snag. No TV shows are recognised. If I try to force recognition from the browser, then it just times out after a few minutes - with no error message, and no recognition.
I'm not convinced that this is the same problem described in ...
