Put it up in the air & inspect the calipers. Just because there isn't a puddle on the ground doesn't mean they aren't leaking. Also inspect the brake lines.

the z32 isn't necessarily hard to work on, but it is hard to figure out how to fix it and upgrade it properly. you can't just bolt a turbo on it like it's a honda. but i basically learned most of what i know about working on cars with the z32, at age 17. f-ing fantastic car. people say what you want about it but i'll do whatever i can to have one for the rest of my life

Weird brake issue
Published (2009-12-16 19:27:00)
Just put it up on the lift to work on some other styuff, and noticed the rear brakes are getting tight like the fronts. There is just more grip on the fronts so i didnt notice with the wheels on the ground. So it is effecting the whole system. master cylinder or booster?

taking the z up a mountain in snowy conditions doesn't sound like a good idea no matter what tires you have on. regardless of others experience, i think you already know if you're going to go or not lol. there is a thread about snow tires on z's somewhere on here already. perhaps in the z32 section.

Sounds like possibly a bad injector (low resistance = too much fuel => runs better at higher RPM)... test the resistance across the leads of your injectors, it should read 10-14 ohms.
After you've done that, we'll discuss other possibilities (a few sensors that could cause that, but injectors are a common issue and can cause this, so no point in checking other things until we rule those out).

First time poster, long time lurker here.
I'm driving a 93 - 2+2 - stock.
This week i've had to pull my z off the road due to some radiator problems.
I noticed that small puffs of white smoke were coming out of the engine and that my thermostat was rising. *(its never moved past 1/2 way ... EVER)*
I found out the top of my radiator has a hairline crack in it on the left side. ...

You WILL blow your engine in time if you run without intercoolers. You are vastly underestimating the effectiveness of such a device on the Z32 - a good intercooler will cut down intake temperatures by over 100 degrees. (Data in my intercooler writeup - http://www.zdriver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=196 94 ... look at the temperature differences between stock and aftermarket intercoolers. ...

I'll pocket the shift boot and blinker lenses next time I go to the junkyard, if you pay the shipping.

ok, wouldn't start on first try, or second, start fluid works wonders. its ideling at 700 right now, sometimes using the throttle not the pedal i can press it down halfway and get it to around 4k then press harder and it will go to 5200 or so before i back it back down, when i use the pedal (which shouldnt make a difference but it seems to) it dosnt like getting past 3200, sometimes i can get it ...
