I was feeling bad that poor John McCain is being pretty much totally ignored by the media and by YesAnd.com. You'd think he warrented his own thread! So, I figured I'd start one. Here's my opening link. John Hagee Endorses McCain Also, McCain is proud of Hagee's support . Let's visit a key Hagee quote on Katrina : Quote: All hurricanes are ...

Sometimes it happens in a show that without forcing it, themes or motifs will appear again and again, and none of the actors notices it. It's not necessarily that the scenes will be about these themes but it's like an underlying motif. Sometimes this can be very beautiful within a Harold if it creates a kind of rhyme. On the other hand it also can become annoying. Two days ago we had guns in...

I recently made the move from short form to long form and I must say that my memory skills are totally lacking. Has anyone found any helpful tips to help strenghten short term memory? I really make an effort to listen, but once things get rolling (in a harold) I feel like I am forgetting a lot of the good stuff from the opening game and thus missing out on connections. I realize it may take time...

Too bad minorities in this country are discriminated against. This is obviously another case of a black man being held down by the white man. Just add him to the list of blacks who have reached all the sorts of social heights that for decades were seemingly out of reach, only to abuse it. I find it interesting how a white man - Don Imus for example - can be fired from his job for ...

Why is there no room in the Republican party for a pro-choice candidate? Why is there no room in the Democratic party for a pro-life candidate? I don't think there is any issue that is this much of a litmus test for both parties and it makes me sad. I'm pretty sure I'm a pro-life. I know I'm a progressive liberal. I think we should help women carry their kids to term and help...

This Sunday, the NFL returns. Predictions. Trash Talking Go! The Seahawks are full of new untested blood, especially receivers. This year will be very good or very bad.

Let's kick it off with: Quote: Did the weakest Dem candidate for the general election won tonight? I think so. By sending forth Hussein Osama out of Iowa, Democrats have unwittingly weakened their general election prospects. Hussein's exotic mixture of radical liberalism, Kwanzaa Socialism, antipathy towards the unborn, and weakness against his jihadi ...

Just watched a piece on ABCnews.com by Charlie Gibson making comparisons between what happened to the poorest in N.O. in the wake of hurrican Katrina and he said: "people were left to fend for themselves". My first reaction to that was: "well yes. Isn't everyone responsible for themselves?" How is it that the people of N.O. had all the information Katrina was coming days before it hit, and...

Well I've seen a couple of sites calling McCain's VP spot for Pawlenty. As someone who lived in MN for 5 years (2000-2005), I gotta tell you. This guy is a huge, huge dick. A tool. A petty little pisser. Yuk. I guess he's the perfect guy if you want someone who will say any shitty thing you tell him to without a care in the world for his 'integrity' But my my, he sure does ...

The RNC is scheduled for next week in Minnsota. With Tropical Storms Gustav and Hanna threatening to hit major population centers in the Caribbean next week, McCain might get bumped as the lead story, cutting into any momentum he might hope to gain.
