When you take a long time, you're slow. When your boss takes a long time, he's thorough. When you don't do it, you're lazy. When your boss doesn't do it, he's too busy. When you make a mistake, you're an idiot. When your boss makes a mistake, he's only human. When doing something without being told, you're overstepping your authority. When your boss does the same ...

Wheelinround goes to confession and says" Father I have stolen a chicken". Priest says." My son, that is a sin, you should not have done that." Wheelinround:" I know father, would you please accept the chicken from me"? Priest: "No my son, you should offer it back to the man from whom you stole it" Wheelinround: "I have already done that father and he refuses to take the chicken back" ...

After dying, you get 'upstairs' and find that no-one can talk or ask questions. They just float around in seeming bliss. Since you've always wanted to meet Adam, how would you identify him?

Maybe not the right section but it will do. I have been looking at a lot of "good" wood on the sides of the road - Last saturday between Keith to Edenhope to Coleraine - there was an absolute plethora of red gum both dry and green just waiting for me to pick up. Enough of the waffel what i want is a chainsaw that i can throw in the tool box of the semi trailer and stop and cut a few blocks...

I am presently using an el cheapo Ryobi table saw. After seeing the quality of the shelf I cut out with it, I decided I needed to change the saw or the user - the former seems the easier option. I have looked around a bit and have found a second hand modyfied "Vassaw" for ~$1,800 (hopefully a photo will be attached - my first post so we will see how it goes). It looks well built and maintained, ...

Just joined today to leanr more on woodworking as i have been at the beginning of my guitar building adventure. The only peice of advice i think i could give is (if u find the tonewood suppliers expensive or not accessible) is look for alternative and woods indigenous to your area as they would be the best to aclimatize to where u live which is important for guitar bodies. I live in india and ...

G'day, This isn't a thread to gloat or pump out my chest in stupid bravo and write how tough I am, but how stupid I am and make others aware. If a t/saw has a persepx bade guard above a blade, then it's there for a reason - so you keep your digits away! Trying to maximise every bit of spotted gum I can, I was trying to cut a 19mm piece off a 40mm width. Now if the guard on the ...

Hi all! Names are being taken down for the first Wwf Box Challenge. Participants will be sent a 750mm long piece of timber (yet to be decided, see the other thread) to create a box. Designs may be anything you want, but no turned boxes, they're kinda in a genre of their own for another time. The boxes may be for any for any purpose or none at all. They may incorporate other timbers things ...
