I'm glad I held off. I've been using acronis for a few years now and swear by it, but, from the sounds of 2010 I think I'd just be swearing at it. I've had 0 problems on 2009 with W7 64.

The original article...

Disable unneeded Network Clients &/or Network Protocols IF you have a HOME LAN/network? You skip this/leave this alone! (... & do not disable the SERVER service (it creates the hidden default C$ administrative share for example) in services.msc & keep 127.0.0.1 (the default lone entry it has) in your %windir%\system32\drivers\etc HOSTS file as well). 2.) It never ceases to amaze me how important printers are. Seriously, you would think that with all the amazing pure digital technology we have that someone would have come up with something much better than a printer by now. Guess not... Getting your current printer to work in Windows 7 may turn out to be a piece of cake or all but impossible. For some key information you should have in hand...

Honestly, first you release a Win7 RC that's about as stable as any OS ever released (and has sported an RC in the title mind you) and now you... engineers... are releasing an Office 2010 "beta" (seriously, beta... get real... ...
