3 updates on 6.11.2009 3 updates on 5.11.2009 2 updates on 4.11.2009 2 updates on 3.11.2009 2 updates on 1.11.2009 If you look further back, there were mostly daily updates. So malware activity obviously dictates update releases. Or they simply bumped up the update rate for avast! 5.

Not sure this is exactly what you are looking for but I use AxCrypt to encrypt the files I want encrypted. Seems to work and it is free. Hopes this helps a little.

Those test seem well. Screwed up! lol. And quite frankly it coming directly from Symantec Seems like the tests were to make sure symantec detected it first. In other words if norton missed a site or a Trojan it was simply removed from the test. We all know no AV is perfect and will NOT score 100% on a test unless its rigged or very very one sided.

I am pleased (and relieved) to report that I tried restoring again and this time it worked.
The first time I tried I had selected to not enable(?) networking and I selected to use the images MBR. The 2nd time I allowed networking to be enabled(?) and I selected to load Windows MBR.
I guess I did the wrong thing the first time around----or should the first selections not have made a ...
