Quote: the only difference with DLC is that it is smaller (and for a smaller price). When you factor in *all* the available DLC for any given game, it's still smaller than a proper expansion pack, but usually costs quite a bit more. Quote: So the only important thing is quality... a lot of DLC has that, and thus I buy it. A lot of DLC also, by the virtue of its existence, lessens the quality of the vanilla game.

Yeah, I just try to play the game in tactics mode (zoom out so you're top down). Usually the upside to playing in third person is you can see enemies away further and so can engage them before they can engage you (at least on a single mon resolution you couldn't see them in tactics). With triple monitors I can just rotate the camera so my side monitors are parallel to the direction I'm going (e.g. whichever way my party will go...

Yeah a few hundred more than a cheap TN, but since a cheap TN is only like $200 that's over double the price. I expect it to be tested better for color uniformity than just the center area of the screen. Im sending back the center monitor it has a noticeable red area on the right side, but even still I can see minor color shift on the left monitor and that is the replacement one. I cant keep calling for replacements, at some point they...

No, X3 and X3:TC are two different games, the gold version is both games in one box. http://www.egosoft.com/x/xnews/200910_1_44News.html#story2 Info is on there. Edit: oh as well, gamestop has labled it wrong, its X3: Gold, not X3: Terrain Conflict Gold.

Personally, I would hook up a TripleHead2Go like this: Then you could use UltraMon to switch between one large 5040x1050 screen, or three separate 1680x1050 outputs.

I have the game, as I said on the FAIL thread I would buy it if my clan did and they did. What I have is the problem that it starts up in some res my system doesn't support so minimises itself. I have had this before but I cannot find where to set the start up res. As I haven't started it yet I have no player profile I can modify! God knows what the game is like. Now here's the real question. There are no paths this time. Just three people. Person A, person B, and person C. One of these people always tells the truth. Another always lies. The third is crazy, and will randomly decide whether to tell the truth or lie. The truth teller and the liar know who is who. The crazy one doesn't care. If asked to predict what the crazy one ...

The 30 minute walkthrough I watched made it obvious combat is a triumph. I am only worried about story at this point, but Mass Effect did that so right, so I have high hopes. The mod community will make it worth $50 even if the game sucks.

I played about 5 mins of this. The menu is fine non-stretched, the HUD is fine non-stretched, the inside gameplay is fine non-stretched. Even the movie when you launch the game is fine (pillarboxed). However when you actually start playing all the cinematics in-game and every time you talk to someone it just shows a completely black screen. Since this is a BioWare game you talk to people...
